Where can i get vase fillers?

i live in canada so theres no michael's or hobby lobby here. i went to check up on some flower shop, but they don't have it either. vase fillers are used to arrange flowers %26amp; stuff. i even went to sephora!!! you know, their brush holders... they said they get it from the manufacturer! omg i even went inside dollarama, dollar stores, super discount %26amp; all those places i have never been to! i can't even find them on ebay! i really prefer to go to the place where they purchase it than buy it online. PLS HELP!!!

Where can i get vase fillers?
I am not sure exactly what you are looking for. Is it the plastic liner for a vase or floral foam? Florist's should have it.

But, a little trick that I have used is chicken wire if you want individual sections. You can cut it and tuck it into the top of a vase to separate the flowers or you can make it a little larger and tape it to the edge of the vase and hot glue ribbon over it to cover. If you need additional coverage to cover the wire, add some moss on top.

You could also use florist's tape to make individual slots. Do you want to stand up make-up brushes? Do you have a beauty supply store nearby?
Reply:I think your talking about other stuff but perhaps

a pet store, maybe aquarium rocks will hold stems and

water w/out causing lots of mold growth... Or just hide stems and hold them in place if your using fake flowers...

or marbles so maybe a wal-mart? or pet store- good luck!
Reply:I used to use a "frog" - a spike filled, heavy, round item that is put in the bottom of a vase to hold stems. It was my mother's and I haven't seen them available for years.

I do a lot of small centerpieces for church dining tables. I often use glass pebbles, tumbled stones or even marbles. I buy them at Michael's but often at Dollar Tree. They are available at Walmart also. You could find some decorative stones at a Home Depot or yard and garden. I have seen Martha Stewart etc use a large banana leaf to line a clear glass vase - but where would you find banana leaves?

If you are talking about florist foam...try talking your florist into ordering a bit extra and selling it to you. I once got some white stuff from my florist - for free even - that I used in glasses of carnations. but it was yucky stucff that just floated around and made a mess to dispose of.

There are water holding crystals that are used for hydroponic gardening. Michael's sell them for flower arranging. Should be available online or by catalog.

Check out www.joanns.com and michaels.com. Once you know the name and manufactor of what you are looking for try an internet search for a dealer.
Reply:walmart, go to the fabric section and browse around u r bound to find something
Reply:if the items you are putting in a vase is a colored vase, use a piece of styrofoam, works great, can get anywhere, probably free, just poke a hole first with something
